Dual Credit: Earn college credit from UTPB while enrolled in high school!

Iraan High School offers eligible students the opportunity to enroll in dual credit courses through the University of Texas - Permian Basin. Dual credit in effect enrolls students in college courses while they are still in high school, allowing them to earn credit both as a high school student and a college student. Use the link below to learn more about this opportunity.

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

Iraan High School offers a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) Courses to eligible students. Eligibility will be based on EOC Scores and Teacher Recommendation, and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Students enrolled in an AP course will be offered the opportunity to take a national content test for that specific subject. Depending on the score received on that exam, students have the ability to also earn college credit. Ask the academic coordinator for more information.

Additional Courses offered through Apex

Iraan High School uses an outside company, called Apex, to provide additional course offerings to our students. Students can take elective courses and additional AP courses not listed above. Students in grades 11 or 12 will meet with the academic counselor to select these courses. A comprehensive list of courses can be obtained from the academic counselor.
